IC INFORMATION
Characters Name: Belarus
Age: appears to be about 19, in reality is at least hundreds of years old.
Canon: Axis Powers Hetalia
Canon Point: modern day
Species: Whatever on earth nations actually are - but she looks and is at least, for the most part, physically human.
Gender: Female/Female
Orientation: The nations are not reported as having a specific sexuality one way or another (minus a few possible nods here and there), so it's a little hard to put a definition on any of them. Nations only seem to interact with each other, but Belarus at least seems to primarily be focused on Russia, which would at least tip her in the direction of heterosexual. (On a personal preference, I see her as asexual, but for simplicity's sake in Holly Heights, try to stick her with a dude.)
History: Trying to simplify Belarusian history for a RP app is downright ridiculous, so I'll try to just give a general overview of her in the comic.
Belarus honestly does not have much of a presence in the comics - or even in the occasional gag comic. She's most famous for her utter and complete desire to marry her elder brother Russia, even breaking down his door (and literately ripping out the doorknob) when he tries to hide himself from her. For the most part, when she does appear, she's either by Russia's side or tagging along with her sister - although she sometimes pop up along with some of the other Eastern European characters, especially Lithuania and Poland.
You see her as a little child along with little Ukraine and Russia, clinging to each other in the cold - although at this point, she can hardly speak, and just makes nonsense noises and generally looks like her usual fussy self. She seems to mostly hang on her brother's every word, and doesn't seem to generally care or like anyone else. (She gets absolutely insane in some of the drama CDs, but I'm not going to tread thoseabsurd waters.)
While you do see her doing the whole breaking down the door bit to get to Russia, you also see her acting rather calmly and normally with him as well - such as the strip where Russia unknowingly sits on Canada, and she plainly tells Russia to "do what he wants." She also willingly returns to his side after the collapse of the Soviet Union - even though it's to immediately propose union yet again.
It's not outright said what her relationship with Ukraine is - you see her hissing at her in one setting, and then seemingly generally impassive or calm around her otherwise. She most likely has a bit of jealousy, as Russia pays far more attention to her sister than to Belarus herself. Ukraine seems to put up with her in a sisterly and motherly fashion, chastising her gently or just smiling at her warmly. Still, her siblings seem to be the most important thing to her for the most part, and you see them being an awkward sibling trio, Russia obviously a little soft on the both of them.
She seems to not like Lithuania much at all - mostly growing angry in his presence, and even breaking his fingers when he tries to hold her hand (or just does it out of spite, Lithuania at least thinks she held his hand). His crush on her is apparently just an annoyance, and she obviously does not find him amusing. It's also very briefly noted that America tried to be her "big brother" after the fall of the USSR, but she quickly went running back to Russia - mostly likely because America was being a bit too nosyand stupid for her liking.

Appearance: One and two.
Personality: For the most part, Belarus can easily be summed up into one word: cold.
At least at first glance, Belarus seems like nothing more than a very cold and shrewd young woman. In a complete opposite of her fretting and worrying sister, and her seemingly cheerful brother, she usually seems very calm and even solemn. Of course, for the most part this makes her seem like a very cold, uncaring person - which, honestly, it true mostly. Unless you matter to her in some way, she will very pointedly not care. She does have quite a few emotions under that cold exterior - but unlike her siblings, they do not push and sway her as easily, and she's far from the type to jump into things. Unless it is important to her, in which case she is instantly there.
Belarus seems to keep to herself and does not talk unless she needs to or feels that she should. If you manage to anger her - or at the very least annoy her - you might see a bit of that underlying current of emotion, as a scowl will just as easily grace her face as an impassive one. She's also rather blunt - she's not going to skirt around anything, especially if she has something to say. She can also become quite violent, going so far as to break hands or doors, as well as apparently carrying around a knife with her. But, for the most part, as long as the people she cares for are safe, she's quite content.
Compared to the rest of her siblings, Belarus is perhaps the most headstrong and determined . But, due to her brother's - and often times, her sister's as well - near constant influence in her life, she usually takes the back seat, quietly agreeing with him on almost anything. Her sister, on the other hand is another matter - her constant fussing can grate on Belarus's nerves at times. Of course, as previously mentioned, she won't back down if something matters to her - she's strong willed and rather stubborn, and she won't go throwing herself into unnecessary causes. Anything frivolous or nonsensical drives her crazy. Loud mouths and people with nothing better to do bother her in particular. Or, in Lithuania's case, stupidly persistent suitors that don't realize she's breaking their hands repeatedly.
To Belarus, nothing is more important than her siblings - especially Russia. She'll hang onto her brother's every word, and, as said earlier, often just quietly agree with him and go along with his wishes. Unlike her brother though, who can at times come off as a touch insane, she is really insanely devoted. Most of her drive at the moment to make sure she is with her siblings and that they are safe - and to stay by their sides forever. Her small little world revolves around them and making sure her things are in order. Disrupt that, and there will be hell to pay.
Abilities: Nations seem to have a strange sort of immortality - as long as their country, or some sort of form of it, exists, they exist. Which means they can potentially survive mortal wounds, heal quickly, and deal with things that ordinary humans cannot. They also have an aging process that seems to be tied to their own country's growth, and get sick when their economy is in a bad state.
Other: She apparently has a fondness for rock music and the occult. Go figure.
SAMPLES
First Person: ( The camera comes into view a little fuzzy, with only a "tsk" and a blurry form of a woman in view at first. After a few moments of fussing, the young woman comes into focus, her face rather set - and maybe even bored looking. ) I do not appreciate being kidnapped.
( She scowls at the video camera, crossing her arms. ) I demand to be sent home immediately. I do not care for this Americana nonsense of a house I have been given, nor the insistence that I should be living here indefinitely.
I am a nation, and I require being at home. If you do not send me home immediately, I will assure that whoever is responsible for this regrets it. ( There's a flash of metal, and then a knife comes into view. ) Heavily.
Third Person: Belarus pushed a little harder on the door in front of her - Russia had once again locked the door to his room, crying something about wanting to be left alone. Why he wanted so desperately to be alone when she knew he was quite lonely was confusing, but it didn't deter her in the slightest. It had grown hard as of late for her to near him, and now he was constantly shutting himself up, and denying her access as well.
"Brother, open up."
She heard him stutter out a reply, sounding like he was going even further and further into the room. Letting out a small sigh, she set down the plate of food gently beside her, making sure it would be undisturbed before continuing. It took a few moments, but after some rather fierce pulling and pounding, she was able to cleanly remove the doorknob out of the door. Belarus heard Russia give out a scream, and then him suddenly scuttling away - he was probably hiding underneath his bed again.
"Brother," Belarus began calmly, which almost seemed out of place with the demolished door beside her. She would have to fix that when she was done. "I have brought the pierogi that Sister made for us." She lifted up the small tray of food again - which also had some tea and sweets as well. She heard Russia's shuddering stop, and finally saw her brother's head sheepishly pop out from behind the bed frame. She crossed the room quickly, depositing the tray with care on his bed stand, waiting for him to sit down and begin to eat the food with a newfound calm.
"Brother," she began again, getting a small noise of acknowledgment as Russia chewed. "When you are done, perhaps we can discuss my plans for marriage."
There was a clatter and then a large bang as Russia suddenly fled from the room, leaving the tray of food behind him. Letting out one more small sigh, Belarus picked up the tray, following dutifully after him. After all, it would not do him good if he went hungry again. Or if he wasted Sister's cooking by letting it all go cold.
OTHER
Housing Request?: A fellow nation would be great, preferably from Eastern Europe if possible. If not, a mild mannered guy who won't get in her way will do well.
Did you read the rules and FAQ?: Yes yes yes.
Would you like your application to be unscreened?: Not picky. Whichever!
